Thomas Kneale and Co Ltd recognises that it has a moral responsibility to the community, the environment, and the global labour force engaged in its Supply Chain as a Manufacturer and Importer. We willingly embrace our responsibility to play a part in the reduction of both pollution and labour exploitation.
Throughout the Supply Chain, Thomas Kneale and Co. Ltd monitors that there is no child or forced labour. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination on the basis of race, religion, disability, gender or sexual orientation and fully support The Race Relation Act 1976 The Sex Discrimination Acts 1975 and 1986 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
We only select partnership factories which have been independently audited and which have clear environmentally and sustainability friendly policies. We require our Towel and Linen Factories to be compliant with Oeko-tex 100 Standard or G.O.T.S. which certifies awareness by our mills of human and ecological issues. We promote companies who are W.R.A.P. and Fair Trade Certified and support the Global Action Plan.
The goal of being a profitable business should not be an obstacle to setting high international standards of ethical production, fair labour, environmental and fair trading policies throughout our supply chain.
If we look after the environment and the rights of our fellow human beings, then everyone will gain as we improve the quality of life for all. At Thomas Kneale and Co. Ltd we will work tirelessly and single-mindedly towards that goal.
