Wholesale Contract Quality Mattresses

Thomas Kneale manufactures and supplies mattresses to a wide range of customers from the prison service to nursing homes, schools to holiday camps and university/college halls of residence. Each mattress meets the customer’s definition for ‘fitness for purpose’.

Foam and Sprung Mattresses

We make two types of mattresses; foam and sprung. These contract grade mattresses are then customer specified to be quilted, non-quilted or tufted, water resistant PVC, water proof breathable, hypo-allergenic and anti-bacterial/fungal and stain resistant.

As we supply both the public and private sector, our mattresses need to be flame retardant and comply to BS 7177 for general contract use. Today Thomas Kneale’s mattresses use bonded pads and not loose fillings obviating the need to turn the mattress. Mattresses depths vary and must comply with safety legislation

Contract Foam Mattress

Our mattress are CMHR (combustion modified high resilient) and are produced in different sizes and depths to meet customer requirements

Contract Sprung Mattress

Typically we use mixed fibre insulator over the open coil spring system fitted with a 9 gauge tempered steel rod edge around the top and bottom edges and side supports.
