One of the most specialist sectors that we supply is the healthcare sector.
Many bedding products we supply are highly specialised – as whilst their purpose is to provide comfort and aid sleep and rest for the patient, a key healthcare provider objective is to minimise the risk of the spread of infections. This means most core products are unsuitable, and only specialised, approved items can be placed into the unit.
Given many patients will spend the majority of their hospital stay in bed, it is important the products we provide are as comfortable as they can be. Our Products aid important rest, good sleep quality, and reduce the risk of the spread of bacteria and other pathogens.
To support keeping patients as safe as possible while they are being treated and cared for, the Healthcare sector is required to have very specialist bedding items. Specialist features often not found in ‘off the shelf’ products include:
Within our bedding & pillow range we offer waterproof options, meaning the items can be easily cleaned (see below) and do not need to be thrown away, ensuring a longer life and allowing financial budgets to go further.
Wipeclean items able to be fully cleaned in situ as necessary during a patients stay, and again during patient turnaround. This keeps the items in place on the bed and allows for a quick, but safe ongoing reallocation of the bed – helping avoid potential losses in the laundry system also.
We have a variety of bedding products that include anti-bacterial and anti-MRSA properties, and others for general clinical purposes. In addition, we have products that are fire retardant to BS7175 crib 5. With all of the items in the range, they are able to be wiped clean, which allows for the control of bacteria and pathogens. These items are all appropriate for healthcare settings, and designed specifically for healthcare sector needs.
Beyond filled bedding items we have other products which are suitable for healthcare environments:
Suitable to wash in line with NHS guidelines, we hold large stocks for immediate dispatch, but can also manufacture any specification required (MOQ’s apply). We supply cotton rich, polycotton, and fire retardant polyester linens for high risk environments.
Our wide and varied blankets range means we have suitable products for any environment, based around patient needs and the hospital setting, with differing insulations, materials and sizes. Our range include thermal throws, polar fleece, cellular, and ambulance appropriate products.
Where long lasting items are preferred over disposable products, we have a range of coated products, with lead weighted hems, that can be cleaned in situ.
From face cloths through to bath sheets, white or coloured, with different weights, we have a comprehensive range to suit the needs of the environment.
We have a range of highly specialist anti-ligature items which are extremely hard to tear, rip or fold, across clothing, blankets and pillows, which are all able to be laundered within NHS parameters.
In areas such as NHS Mental Health Trusts as well as Private Hospital Settings, where patients are at risk of causing self harm, our comprehensive products are designed to help keep the individuals safe as they are anti-rip. These products should be issued In conjunction with ongoing visual checks, in line with regulatory guidelines.
Our R&D department are continually working to improve the comfort levels of our product range. We recognise within the healthcare sector that the nature of products’ properties should not come at the detriment of the patients feeling comfortable, enabling them to relax and so improve their quality of sleep, all important to help aid recovery.
We work with an extensive product range across our customer base, as an approved supplier, across the NHS, Private Healthcare and Custodial Sectors, covering both general, and specialist mental healthcare settings.
